Overview

I’ve been reviewing my work from last year, so I went through my GitHub. Over the past year I left 1,293 contributions, and almost all of those commits came from projects, AILogora and a few side projects I used for trial and error.

That’s probably the most honest and objective record of what I actually did this year 🤣

I can really feel how much the AI era has boosted my productivity, but it has also brought a lot of anxiety. This year I bounced between Cursor, Github copliot, Claude Code, Codex, Augment and others. Whichever one worked well, I used, with zero loyalty. But I also ended up reinventing quite a few wheels. I still haven’t really gotten the hang of Claude Code plugins and Skills, and it already feels like the next technology is about to show up 🫠

Watching the AI industry’s updates lately hits even harder. Models, inference, infrastructure and more get updated every week, and something big changes every month. At that pace, these 1,293 commits weren’t so much about catching up with some new technology. They were just me doing my best to finish what needed to get done.

All I can do is accept this speed and push myself not to fall too far behind in the coming year.

I’m curious: do you feel the same kind of anxiety?

I build generative AI products and write about them, first in Chinese. Lately I’ve been researching agent memory and testing the ideas in Cairn.
